Cartier Baignoire 1960 'Byzantine Exclusive'
If you ever wonder what kind of watches inspire us to keep exploring? Here is your answer. This one is special.. You can obviously see that this isn’t an ordinary Cartier Baignoire. We had the honour to source this amazing Baignoire from Cartier’s exclusive Byzantine Collection (1994). The Baignoire distinguishes itself due to its iconic silhouette and timeless design features as the roman numerals, blued Epée hands and ofcourse the blue cabochon crown. However, like we mentioned before, this isn’t an ordinary Baignoire.
This particular example is from Cartier’s exclusive Byzantine Collection introduced in 1994. It doesn’t only show you their innovative way of thinking, but Cartier’s true craftsmanship as well. The dial is complimented with a beautiful guilloche finish and the iconic Epée hands, which are solid 18k gold in stead of the regular blue ones. The 18K gold case is adorned with two princess-cut rubies, two pearl-cut green emerald and four trapeze-cut yellow sapphire. Simply stunning.
Sometimes it’s difficult to let a watch go, because you know you won’t see and or find another one soon. This will definitely be the case with this one, but it was a pleasure..
