Cartier Galbée 1564

It’s always exciting to talk about the Santos, because its history is probably the most iconic of them all, it’s where it all started. The Cartier Santos was created in 1904 for Alberto Santos-Dumont, a Brazilian aeronaut, sportsman, and inventor who contributed to the early development of aircrafts. In 1901, Santos-Dumont, a pioneering aviator, asked Louis Cartier to make him a timepiece that he could use while piloting his aircraft.

The Maison is well-known for their unique and innovate designs, which is exactly what happened after the launch of the Dumont. Cartier released a wide variety of different models and really showed their unusual and interesting way of moving. This piece is a perfect example of the Maison's eye for detail. Let's dive into this cool example.

This full-steel Cartier Santos Galbée 1564 is by far one of our favourite Galbée configurations. The steel case and bracelet blends perfectly together with the matte white dial which is complimented by the iconic Roman numerals. If you look closely, you will see that the Roman numerals are blue, instead of the more common black ones. The blued Epée hands together with the blue Roman numerals is simply stunning.

The watch is fully serviced by our watchmakers and comes with a 1-year warranty!
