The Cartier Tank is one of the few watch designs that has remained almost untouched for more than a century. Its strength lies not in complication or excess, but in proportion. Created as a piece of design before it was considered merely a timekeeper, the Tank has become one of Cartier’s most recognisable and enduring creations.

This ladies’ Tank, dating to the early 2000s, is a beautiful example of that timeless design. The simplicity of the white dial, black Roman numerals and elongated case makes the watch feel just as relevant today as it did decades ago.

What makes this particular example stand out is its condition. The dial is exceptionally clean and remains flawless, while the watch retains its original black leather strap and the original 18-karat yellow gold Cartier buckle, a detail that is increasingly difficult to find with these vintage examples.

There is very little that needs to be added to a Tank like this. The proportions, the gold case and the contrast of the black strap already do everything. A true Cartier classic, preserved exactly how we like to find them.
