The Calatrava is first introduced in 1932. The Calatrava isn’t only appreciated, but praised by everyone due to its timeless features design philosophy. We all know that some models are desired and therefore bought my many. Desirability is one thing, but sometimes a watch isn’t made to be owned by the masses. It’s made to be rare. We have encountered many Calatrava’s, but it’s the first time we have seen this one. The Patek Philippe Calatrava 3426 is made in a small production since it launched in the 1960s. Of this already small production, most were made in yellow gold. This particular one is crafted in 18K Rose Gold which makes it extremely rare. Very uncommon to see, but there is always one feature we always get excited by. A pattern finish which compliments the dial and continues to accompany the bracelet as well.  

The watch comes on an astonishing rose-gold 'structured' bracelet with Calatrava-cross folding clasp, which is made by the legendary Gay Frères. The bracelet itself is something collectors go crazy for, and we understand why. Gay Frères is one of the most appreciated bracelet makers in the history of watches. The Calatrava 3426 is powered by Patek’s beautifully finished ultra-thin calibre 23-300 manual movement which is greatly respected today, with many saying it is one of the best hand-wound movements ever produced by Patek Philippe.
