Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800J
The 3800 Nautilus is by far one of our favourite models. The 37.5mm mid-size case is sporty, but doesn’t loses its elegance and sophistication. Watches like these are difficult to express through words, but we'll try our best.
The first Patek Philippe Nautilus ever was introduced in 1976 with the ref. 3700, or so called the Jumbo, because of its 42mm case size. Patek Philippe introduced the ref. 3800 as the midsize version of the original ref. 3700.
The case size wasn’t the only thing Patek Philippe changed with the 3700, but they also introduced some improvements like a newer in-house automatic movement, the first Nautilus to ever feature an in-house automatic movement. Let’s talk a little about the history of the iconic Nautilus. After the huge success of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak, Patek Philippe knew it needed its own statement in the world of luxury sports watches.
The Patek Philippe Nautilus is by far one of the most desirable models from Patek Philippe. Collectors love when a model has a wide variety of configurations, which is exactly the case with the Nautilus. There are many different variations to be found, just like the Nautilus we’re offering today.
This exceptional reference 3800J Nautilus dates back to 1982 and is in excellent condition.
Like we said before, watches like these are difficult to express through words. The condition, uniqueness and overall aesthetic is simply stunning. We are always eager to offer special pieces, but we also know that we also know that we won't find something like this again anytime soon.
