Rolex Air-King 14000
There is so much variety to be found in the Air-King model, and its history is not only important, but filled with many interesting stories as well. The design of a watch is what attracts us, but the story behind a timepiece is what keeps us interested.
Released in the midst of World War II, the Rolex Air-King is the only remaining watch in production from the original ‘’Air Series’’. The Air-King joined the ranks of the Air-Lion, Air-Giant, and Air-Tiger, all created to honour the RAF pilots of the Battle of Britain. A lot of pilots have adopted the Air-King, with some companies, like Pan Am, giving them as gifts to retired pilots.
Rolex introduced the Air-King 14000 in 1989, replacing the long-running Air-King 5500. Rolex began focusing on reliability, which resulted in a new caliber, sapphire crystal and consistent design features. The Air-King 14000 came in different dial lay-outs, but today we’re presenting the most classic configuration of them all.
This Air-King 14000 sports a 34mm case together with the classic black dial and of course the iconic oyster bracelet.
The watch is fully serviced by our watchmakers and comes with a 1-year warranty!
