This late 1960s Cocktail Watch exactly shows a time in history where brands dared to be different, to design something which truly showed their craft and creativity. It's a pleasure to offer this beautifully preserved Rolex Lady Cocktail with an amazing tapered flortine like finish bracelet. The watch is also adorned with two natural, factory-set diamonds placed right where the bracelet meets the case.
The silver dial is spotless, with crisp applied gold markers and not a single blemish to distract from its simplicity. Finding these Cocktail Watches is difficult enough, but finding one that has survived in this condition is something we rarely come across. In fact, condition-wise, this is the best one we’ve had so far.
What we love most is how the whole piece feels considered as one design. There’s no trying to make it look like a conventional watch, Rolex was simply playing with gold, texture, proportions and craftsmanship. It’s a side of Rolex that takes you straight back to a time when they were willing to create, experiment and move differently, which is exactly why we never get tired of finding pieces like this.
