Rolex Lady Datejust 6917 Oxblood Stella

Rolex Lady Datejust 6917 Oxblood Stella

Each watch we offer is special to us, but there’s something special about offering rare ones, the kind of pieces you simply don’t come across very often.

This Rolex Lady-Datejust ref. 6917 is fitted with one of Rolex’s highly sought-after Stella dials, the Oxblood, which is finished in a deep, glossy red that changes beautifully with the light. The dial is particularly impressive in person and different in each lightning.

The name “Stella” comes from Stella S.A., a Geneva-based supplier of the specialist lacquers and pigments used for these dials. The dials were produced through a multilayer lacquer process, creating the distinctive high-gloss finish that has made them so collectible today. What makes this particular example especially interesting is the condition of the dial. The lacquer is spotless and completely free of visible cracking or spidering. This is an important detail with Stella dials, as the lacquer can develop fine cracks over the decades, making truly mint examples considerably harder to find.

Don’t get us wrong, seeing a Stella dial is always something special, but finding one in this condition, with the lacquer still completely clean, makes it that much more special and therefore desirable by collectors.

The watch features a 18k yellow gold case and ofcourse a President bracelet which is instantly recognisable. Which are both in incredible condition as well. It’s a pleasure to offer this one and we know it will go to someone who collects rarity. Who knows what is special and what is not.

Fully checked and serviced by our watchmaker, therefore it comes with a one-year warranty on the movement and our certificate of authenticity.
