Dating from the early era of Rolex, this exceptionally rare ladies watch showcases a beautiful Art Deco design, with an elongated rectangular case, geometric lines and a stunning sector dial. The dial is particularly striking, with its central circular chapter and strong black lines extending towards the outer edge, creating a very architectural design.
But it’s the construction around the case that really makes this watch special. The bracelet connects to the case through an unusual geometric design, with three diamonds set into each side, almost turning the transition between case and bracelet into a piece of jewellery itself. The bracelet continues this character with its intricate and sculptural links.
For us, this is exactly what makes early Rolex so fascinating. Long before the brand became synonymous with the watches we know today, there was a much more playful and decorative side to Rolex — and pieces like this are a beautiful reminder of it.
